Vote YES on S

Safe, Strong El Dorado

To keep the residents and communities of El Dorado County safe and healthy, we must do more to prepare for emergencies.

Measure S is on the ballot to reduce wildfire risk, protect rapid 9-1-1 emergency response and preserve access to emergency rooms and quality healthcare services in our communities.

Developed and supported by El Dorado County’s firefighters, paramedics, doctors and nurses and emergency preparedness experts, Measure S is a comprehensive plan to keep us safe.

About Measure S

Vote YES on S to preserve access to emergency rooms and quality healthcare, protect rapid 9-1-1 emergency response, and reduce wildfire risk.

The number of 9-1-1 emergency calls in El Dorado County is growing and aging hospitals and emergency rooms must be upgraded to stringent mandated building safety standards to remain operational. In emergencies like heart attacks, strokes, and accidents, seconds are the difference between life and death. Preserving rapid 9-1-1 response and quick access to the nearest emergency room saves lives.

Wildfires are getting larger, faster, deadlier and more common. Over the past two decades, the Caldor Fire, Mosquito Fire, King Fire, and Angora Fire burned nearly 400,000 acres, destroyed over 1,000 homes and businesses, and forced thousands of El Dorado County residents to evacuate.

Developed and supported by local firefighters, paramedics, doctors, nurses, and emergency preparedness experts, Measure S is a comprehensive plan to keep us safe.
